Gilleland and Merkosky Services was founded on July 5, 1996.  It is owned and operated by Eric Gilleland and Alex Merkosky.

Alex is a graduate of the Laurel Highlands High School and Triangle Tech.  He has been in the HVAC field for 20 years.

Eric, also a graduate of the Laurel Highlands High School, has served four years in the United States Coast Guard as an electrician.  He has been in the field for 15 years.

The team does both commercial and residential service and installation.  Systems consist of gas, oil, heat pumps, hydronic induced radiant in floor tubing, zoning and duct work.

The products that make up the sales and service for the company are American Standards heating and cooling products for gas and oil including air cleaners, humidifiers, and heat pumps; Honeywell zoning and thermostat products; Research Products consisting of humidifiers and air cleaners, and Water Furnace geothermal heat pumps and domestic hot water heating.

To maintain your system properly, a yearly tune-up of the heating and air conditioning should be done to keep the filters and unit clean and working to its highest efficiency.

In just the short-time that the company has been established, it has grown from two full-time employees to ten full-time employees.  The employees consist of three service technicians and two installation crews.
